Information about the BAB program we use to raise our puppies-
We choose to raise our puppies the BAB way. With the BAB program we are creating steadfast trust and building confidence so early on in our puppies. The program uses dog psychology and pack leadership between canine and human. The BAB program facilitates a lifetime of high approach, confidence, touch tolerance, low sight, and sound sensitivity, as well as quick startle recovery regardless of the environment in which the puppy goes home. By using this program we provide a sufficient flexibility for each pup to move through the puppy curriculum at his or her own pace. Puppies are also taught downtime and start to learn the ability to self soothe. By generating innate and deep respect and trust between humans and canines, the BAB program facilitates the development of well-adjusted, trainable and tolerant puppies that will succeed at their life’s purpose.
In the final week of the BAB program, all puppies are evaluated through a number of different challenges in a new environment. The results of these BAB evaluations are provided to clients for educational purposes and give the puppies a voice in determining the appropriate home for each. Our hope is that this program produces life-changing puppies and the evaluations help to honor the puppy’s innate qualities that make them special, as well as to guide a match with a human or humans that will help him or her reach their full potential.
The BAB curriculum focuses on laying a strong foundation of true respect and trust between puppies and humans, other dogs and the world around them. By creating steadfast trust and building confidence so early on, the BAB program facilitates a lifetime of high approach, confidence, touch tolerance, low sight, and sound sensitivity, as well as quick startle recovery regardless of the environment in which the puppy goes home. After all, we only have 8 weeks with our puppies, and their families have years.
